Manual Extractor hood

We recommend that you turn on the extractor hood several minutes before cooking and turn it off no sooner than 5 minutes after cooking.

Both models have the same instructions:

• • • • to turn on the light, slide the switch to the right on the left
      • To turn on the extractor, slide the switch to the right on the right side. Use the switch to select the desired extraction capacity

Manual smoke detector 

The smoke detector reacts to fumes and smoke in your cottage.

If you hear the alarm, there may be a dangerous situation. You should never ignore the alarm tone. If the alarm is activated, please open some windows. Except in case of fire.

The smoke detector is not connected to our Reception. In case of fire call the European emergency number 112 or the emergency number 0032 (0) 477 022 000

Please do not disconnect the power supply to the smoke detector, as this will render it non-functional and unable to warn you of a potentially dangerous situation. If you hear a beep at one minute intervals, the batteries must be replaced.

Handleiding koolmonoxide melder

De koolmonoxide melder reageert op koolmonoxide in uw cottage. Net als de rookmelder kan deze ook een piepend geluid maken wanneer de batterij bijna leeg is. In dit geval kunt u contact opnemen met onze Whatsapp Service:  0032 (0) 470 90 18 31 (enkel via bericht).

Manual cooker

The houses all have a cooker. To start it, turn the knob of the desired cooking zone to the desired heat.

To switch the hob off, turn the knob(s) back to position 0.

Some hobs have a residual heat indicator. This comes on when the cooking zones reach temperatures that can cause burns. They stay on until the cooking zones are switched off and only go out when the zone has cooled down sufficiently.

Manual hairdryer

To use the hair dryer, first press the button on the left-hand side of the holder. Then set the red or grey switch to position 1. Then use the black button to operate the hairdryer.

The hair dryer is in one of the cottage bathrooms.

For safety, there is a switch on both the hair dryer and the holder on the wall. These both need to be switched.

Manual safe

Note: Please leave the safe with the door open at the end of your stay.

The safe is located in the cupboard of one of the bedrooms of your cottage. You can obtain the key from reception.

We recommend that you use the safe for your valuables. 

2. Electronic safe

Close the door:

1. 1. 1. 1. Dial a 4-6 digit code and press #.
         2. Close the door and keep it closed until it is locked.
         3. Press *** to delete the last digit entered.

Open the safe:

1. 1. 1. 1. Enter the code you used to close the safe.
         2. The LED display will read ‘OPEN’ and the door will open automatically.

Manual refrigerator

When you arrive at your cottage, it is important that you do the following with regard to the refrigerator: 

1. 1. 1. 1. 1. Check if your refrigerator is switched on. You can see this by opening the door of the fridge and feel if a cold air is coming out. You can also check this by seeing if the light in the refrigerator turns on when you open the door.
            2. Then check the position of the refrigerator and make sure it is low enough according to its contents.

We would also like to inform you that when you put “warm” products in your fridge, it takes a long time before the products have become really cold. If the fridge is not switched on, it will take a while before it is optimally cool.

Manual coffee machine

All cottages have a filter coffee machine. Do the following to enjoy a delicious cup of coffee: 

1. 1. 1. 1. First of all, check whether the plug of the coffee maker is in the socket. If this is not the case, plug it in.
         2. Open the cover on top of the machine
         3. Put the coffee filter in the designated (round) part of the device.
         4. Then take the coffee pot and fill it with water. The amount depends on the number of cups you want to make.
         5. Then pour the water in the coffee pot into the designated part of the machine. This area is located under the flap at the top of the machine.
         6. Then pour the desired amount of coffee powder into the coffee filter (under the flap at the top of the machine). The quantity depends on the desired strength of the coffee.
         7. Finally you can switch on the coffee machine. You do this by pressing the button (a red light appears, which means that the machine is going to make coffee).
         8. When the coffee is ready, you can remove the coffee pot from under the machine and pour it into coffee cups.

Manual open fires

Manual senseo-machine

The exclusive cottages have a Senseo coffee machine. Please do the following to make a delicious cup of coffee on the table:

1. 1. 1.  

         1. First of all, check whether the plug of the coffee machine is in the socket. If not, plug it in.
         2. Then press the middle button to make the machine ready, see picture on the right.
         3. The water tank is located at the back of the appliance. Remove this part from the machine.
         4. Fill the water tank with the required amount of water (depending on how many cups you want to make).
         5. On the front of the device there is a flap/lever to open the device where the coffee filter is to be inserted.
            
         6. Open the Senseo machine.
         7. Then choose whether you want to make 1 or 2 cups.
         8. Place the desired pad holder (for 1 or 2 cups) in the machine.
         9. Then place the coffee pod in the holder (if you have chosen the 2-cup holder, place 2 coffee pods in the holder)
         10. Then close the machine with the lid/lever.
         11. If you selected 1 cup of coffee in steps 8 and 9, press the small button on the left marked one cup. If you have chosen two cups, press the small button on the right-hand side with two cups (see the illustration below).

2. 1. 1. 1. Check that there are no inflammable items on the heater in the sauna. This can cause fire and/or burns.
         2. Do not use water in the infrared cabin.
         3. Only use the cabin for its intended purpose.
         4. Do not use during a thunderstorm.

Please note: When using the sauna, please observe the following points:

      • Children under the age of 12 are not allowed in the sauna or infrared cabin without supervision. Not recommended for persons with heart problems, high or low blood pressure.
      • If you are in any doubt about your health, consult a doctor. This also applies to pregnancy.
      • If you do not feel well, leave the sauna room immediately.
      • It is advisable to drink water before and after using the sauna. This keeps the mineral level in the body in balance. A warm shower before using the sauna will make perspiration easier.
      • Never look directly into the infrared heaters! Too long and direct radiation of this high-energy IR can cause damage to the eyes.

The sauna controls are on the inside:

1. 1. 1. 1. First of all, press the on/off button. The POWER lamp will light up when the sauna is switched on.
         2. Use the upper arrows to set the desired temperature of the sauna room. The HEAT lamp will light up until the sauna reaches its temperature. When the sauna has reached its temperature, the HEAT lamp goes out. If the temperature is set to Fahrenheit, you can change it to Celsius by pressing the C/F button.
         3. As long as the temperature remains above 40°C, you will perspire sufficiently.
         4. Set the time switch using the arrows to your desired time. An infrared session lasts approximately 20 to 40 minutes. After 10 to 15 minutes, you will already start to perspire. When the time has expired, the sauna switches off automatically.
         5. Place a towel on the bench in the cabin and take a seat.
         6. After the session, do not shower immediately, relax for at least 10 to 15 minutes. Drink enough water to compensate the loss of moisture.
         7. After using the cabin always leave the cabin door open for a while to ventilate the small room.

Manual soundbar

Present at the TV in the living room

The soundbar can be used as a wireless Bluetooth speaker for the TV, mobile phone, tablet or laptop. The soundbar does not contain a radio function.

By using the “source” button on the device, you can change the source to which you want to connect the soundbar. 

• • • • Turn on the soundbar by pressing the power button on the device.
      • When you want to connect the soundbar to the TV, press the “source” button until it connects to the TV.
      • To connect the soundbar to a Bluetooth device, press the “source” button until the Bluetooth icon lights up. Now you can have the desired device search for “Samsung soundbar (cotnumber)” and connect it.
      • The soundbar also offers you the possibility of using a USB cable. Connect the USB cable to the soundbar and your device and press the USB button on the remote control, or the input button on the soundbar itself.

Manual TV

In each cottage you will find a television in the living room. In the exclusive cottages there is also a television in one of the bedrooms.

With the source button on the remote control you can switch between the channels and any other peripheral devices such as DVD players or game consoles. Depending on the port you have chosen in the device, you will have to press the source button several times.

If your device does not work, first check whether the plug is in the wall socket.

If you have a bad picture (a lot of interference), first check whether all the connections are correct in the device.

Manual thermostat

Sunparks has always seen it as its duty to deal responsibly with the environment. That is why Sunparks has developed an energy-saving thermostat. 

You can set the desired temperature using the + and – buttons.  All you need to do is touch it. When you touch the buttons, the set temperature is displayed. After 3 seconds, the current temperature is visible.

The thermostat has a motion sensor. This allows the thermostat to switch itself back when you are absent. Even if you are sleeping, a lower temperature will be used automatically.

In the morning, you can set the desired temperature yourself.

With every automatic temperature change, you will hear a beep.

Manual dishwasher 

House rules for using the dishwasher:

• Do not stack dishes and put them in the appropriate racks.
• Full = full. An overloaded dishwasher does not clean properly.
• Make sure that food remains are removed from plates and pans before putting them in the dishwasher to prevent clogging.
• Allow the washing programme to run to the end before opening the dishwasher.

Always ensure that the filter is correctly positioned to prevent blockages (tighten).

1. 1. 1. Put your dishes in the dishwasher.
      2. Put the tablet in the compartment, and close the compartment.
      3. Press the On/Off button.
      4. Press the programme selection/cancellation button once, the light in the last washing programme lights up and the End of Programme light flashes.
      5. Press the programme selection/cancellation button repeatedly until the light in the programme you want comes on.
      6. Close the dishwasher door and the countdown will start automatically.
      7. When the washing programme has finished, the end of programme LED lights up.
      8. You can remove your dishes from the dishwasher.
      9. You can perform a reset by pressing and holding the programme selection button (left) for a few seconds.

Also, always make sure that the filter at the bottom is in place to prevent clogging (tighten).

         3. Press the On/Off button.
         4. Press the Programme selection/cancellation button once. The light in the previous washing programme lights up and the ‘End of programme’ light flashes.
         5. Press the programme selection/cancellation button repeatedly until the light in the programme you want comes on.
         6. Close the door of the dishwasher. The countdown starts automatically.
         7. When the washing programme has finished, the end of programme LED lights up.
         8. You can remove your dishes from the dishwasher.
         9. You can perform a reset by holding the cancel button down for a few seconds.
